NYMR Living Histories - A Dive into the Archive Exhibition

North Yorkshire Moors Railway, 12 Park Street, Pickering, North Yorkshire, YO18 7AJ

  • Multiple dates available
  • | In person
  • | Pre-booking not required
  • | Exhibition

Visit the Learning Classroom at Pickering to see materials and records from the archives as well as beautiful pen-and-ink drawings by John Ives, exploring the theme of people working on, living near or using railways like the NYMR.

This exhibition will include artefacts that date from the mainline days through to line preservation and the current NYMR. It's a wonderful opportunity to share insights into some of the project work being carried out by the Archive team, as well as drawing on the experiences of colleagues across the NYMR. It will also launch the results of our Oral Histories project, giving exclusive access to listen to one of the collection recordings from someone connected to the NYMR, sharing their thoughts, recollections and experiences of the railway.
