A guide will be available at the front of the Engine shed to talk about the work of the MPD and what you can see from the public areas accessible in front and around the shed - please note, this is not a tour taking visitors inside MPD itself.

Accessibility details
The Motive Power Depot is a potentially hazardous working environment. Consequently, participants must be reasonably fit, agile and over 10 years old. Unfortunately, due to the working environment of the Motive Power Depot, wheelchair users cannot be accommodated. No pets are allowed on the tour including guide dogs/assistance dogs due to safety reasons. Participants will need to wear suitable clothing and footwear.
