Oak House Museum - Guided Tours

Oak House just outside the centre of West Bromwich is a remarkable survival and has recently been awarded Grade I status underlining its architectural importance.

The Turton family built Oak House in the 1620s having moved from Rowley Regis at the end of the 16th century. As the family wealth and status grew the house was extended in the 1630s and 1650s.

Directions:

Oak House is situated on the corner of Oak Road and Cambridge Street, West Bromwich. Entrance to the site is via the Visitor Centre on Oak Road. Parking is on the road further down Oak Rd, passed the visitor centre or on side roads nearby or on the pay and display car park on Lodge Road. The site is open Sundays 11am-2pm and Tuesdays and Wednesdays 11am-4pm is you wish to explore before or after your tour.
