Upper Station, West Hill Lift, Castle Hill Road, Hastings, East Sussex, TN34 3RD

Hastings Old Town, the premier ancient Cinque Port has a wealth of historic buildings, twittens and cat-creeps. Visited by many notable historic and artistic people and a wonderful area to explore.

The walk begins on the West Hill by the upper station of the West Hill Lift (the West Hill Lift is old and temperamental so check to see if it's working before relying on it to get you up the hill!), so please work out your route to the West Hill. The walk will then end on the seafront, with views over the new and old towns and Hastings Castle. Our guide then leads you gently downhill into the Old Town and along some of its historic streets. Writers, artists, and famous figures from history, you will learn all about their connections to the Old Town.
