Explore the history of an historic estate church.

This atmospheric, "picturesque ruin" started life as a church back in the 15th century and was converted to a mausoleum after a new church was built nearby.
Inside, the wonderful carved memorials tell the story of the powerful Wentworth Family. These include one to the memory of Thomas Wentworth, First Earl of Strafford, who was beheaded on Tower Hill just before the Civil War.
There will be an opportunity to visit the crypt which is not normally open to the public.
