The Old House is a stunning 17th century timber framed building in the heart of Hereford. With beautifully restored period rooms and fascinating displays. Try on period costumes and sit on replica furniture to truly feel the past come alive.

Built in 1621, this beautifully preserved timber-framed house began as the home and shop of a prosperous butcher. Over the centuries, it transformed into various establishments, before becoming a museum in 1929. Experience 17th-century life through meticulously recreated
rooms furnished with authentic period pieces. From the dining parlour to the bedchambers, immerse yourself in the daily life of the Jacobean era.
Interactive exhibits await visitors of all ages.
