Open Day at the Parker Library, Corpus Christi College

The Parker Library will open for Open Cambridge 2025! Come and get to know us and our work on the special collections in Corpus Christi College, Cambridge on Thursday 18 September, 1000-1200 (last entry 1130) and 1400-1600 (last entry 1530).
The Parker Library is one of the greatest national heritage treasures. It is internationally renowned for its important collection of medieval and renaissance manuscripts, as well as its valuable holdings of early printed books. It is one of the most significant surviving renaissance libraries in Europe.
Visitors will have a chance to see the old library and view our current exhibition with some of the collection highlights on display. There will be demonstrations of how manuscripts were assembled and are conserved today by the Cambridge Colleges’ Conservation Consortium. The College Archives will have an exhibition on display just for today.
PLEASE NOTE: Parker Library is located upstairs. Visitors must be able to walk 25 steps of uneven stairs. Not suitable for young children. No large bags, food or drink allowed in. During the event photography might take place. The number of visitors allowed in at same time is restricted, be prepared to queue at busy periods.
