A chance to have a "Behind the Scenes" tour of the Bawtry Phoenix Theatre once a Methodist Chapel

A Primitive Methodist Chapel dating from 1862 forms the core of Bawtry Phoenix Theatre. The development of the Theatre building through the years is a fascinating story; it now houses stage, auditorium, lounge, toilets, kitchen and bar.

The Chapel was used until the 1930s. The main worship space of the chapel became the theatre's auditorium. Part of the front of the original building was lost in the 1960s when the road was widened.

It is the home of the Bawtry Amateur Dramatic Society which was founded in Bawtry Hall in 1932.”
