Discover the roles of working women in Victorian Harleston through recorded memories of local people. From milliners to glovers, explore the skills, roles and resilience of local women who helped shape the town’s heritage.

A member of the WISEArchive team will be on site to talk about the fascinating work they do collecting Oral Histories. WISEArchive began in 2005 and is an oral history group run entirely by enthusiastic volunteers who record, transcribe and edit stories of working-life. An on-line archive was established from the start and since then several books of collected stories have been published. Come along and find out more about what they do and how they archive works.
