Over 150 years of history at The Windmill pub

12-16 Seabank Road, Southport, Merseyside, PR9 0EL

  • Multiple dates available
  • In person
  • Pre-booking not required

Pre-dating St Marie's Church, The Windmill is one of the town's oldest pubs, dating back to Southport's years as a bathing village.

Visit The Windmill to learn more about the pub's fascinating history, from its earliest days as the only row of buildings on Seabank Road, through to the present day. Through photographs and display boards, you'll learn about the various characters who ran the pub over the years, as well as the history of Seabank Road itself, which began as nothing more than sand-dunes. The Windmill is also home to an impressive display of drawings, photographs, and other images of Southport's history from right across the town, making it something of a time capsule!
