A walk discussing the development of the village from its early years as open heathland to the place it is today. Why and how that happened and some of the people who lived there and their stories. It also includes the site of Oxton’s latest blue plaque.

This walk starts and finishes at the centre of Oxton village by the
post box CH43 5SF (junction of Village Road and Rose Mount).

Refreshments available in the village

Disabled Access but there are some narrow and uneven pavements with roads and kerbs to negotiate and part is over unmade roads.

Limited Disabled Access most of the walk is on pavements some of which are very narrow and uneven with roads and kerbs to negotiate. Part is over unmade roads which can be uneven.
