Oxton Guided History Walk - Women of Oxton

A walk examining the lives and achievements of some notable Oxton women including a diarist, a doctor and the first policewoman. It includes women’s education, their long struggle for the vote and the difference between the suffragists and the suffragettes.
Walk starts and finishes at the Williamson Art Gallery & Museum, Slatey Road, CH43 4UE
Refreshments available at the Williamson Art Gallery & Museum or Oxton Village
Limited Disabled Access - most of the walk is on pavements some of which are very narrow and uneven with roads and kerbs to negotiate
