  • | Exhibition

a fascinating look at the workings of Park hall Military training camp, the soldiers who trained there, the characters and their stories, now updated display for 2026 including stories from some of the men who trained at Park Hall

a presentation specifically created to look at the routes, connections and networks looking at the former Park hall training camp, its influence through the years, some of the companies that trained there, how the 'Oswestry' influence played a big part in the lives of the men who trained there, and looking at how many former soldiers come back to visit Oswestry again and most speak fondly of their time in the town and the surrounding area.
This display has continued to grow since its creation in 2025, so much so that we have extended the display area to double its original size due to the interest and support from those who spent time in park hall camp.
Come and read some of their stories and how the camp was viewed by all who trained there.
A special booklet created from the display by John Davies is available to purchase from the museum at £5.
