A walk along the Rover Dour exploring some of the industries, both on or close by The River Dour, that, once, helped make Dover prosper.

Prior to the Industrial Revolution Corn and Paper Mills, Breweries and other industries once harnessed the power of the River Dour with many of them continuing on after mechanisation, some of them introducing innovation into their field of expertise. Meanwhile, close by, there were Iron Works, Gasworks, a Pipe Factory and a company who made an early precursor to the bicycle.
