Petworth House and Park
Petworth House and Park, Park Road, Petworth, West Sussex, GU28 9LR
Join us over the Petworth Heritage weekend to explore the extraordinary art collection in the striking state rooms of the Baroque-inspired House. Take a stroll in the expansive Capability Brown landscaped Park, where you might spot some of the fallow deer herd. Relax in the Pleasure Garden, the perfect place for a picnic. The servants' quarters, by contrast, offer a glimpse of life 'below stairs'. Step inside some of these rooms and imagine the hustle and bustle of servant life.
Discover more about Petworth's history and collection on a free guided tour of the house. Tickets allocated on a first come, first served basis. There will also be 10 minute highlight talks throughout the day. See the board by the house entrance for talk and tour times and topics on the day. Our volunteers will be running free historical walks through Petworth Town, lasting approximately 1 hour. They run throughout the day so please ask our Reception Team for times, and collect your ticket at Church Lodge.
