Celebrating its 241st anniversary this year, Phoenix Hall is a Grade I listed building, it was built by the Phoenix Lodge in 1785 and is the only purpose Built Masonic Hall of its type. Built in the Palladian Style of Architecture.

Phoenix Hall retains many of its original features, from 1785, the striking Masonic Furniture was made for St Johns Lodge at Gateshead in 1729 and bought by the Gentlemen of the Committee in 1785, when building the new temple. The fabric of the building has recently been restored by Historic England. Volunteers will be on hand to talk you through the many fascinating features.
