A restored Victorian garden in the centre of Norwich, with a Gothic fountain and Italianate terrace, formal planting and woodland walks.

Plantation Garden welcomes you to visit on Sunday 14th September as part of the Heritage Open Day Festival 2025. The Garden will be open to visitors free of charge throughout the day - 0900 to 1700 - with music from local musicians from 1300 and afternoon tea refreshments available from 1400.

Information boards placed around the Garden tell the history of the making of the Garden, its decline in the mid-20th century, and its re-discovery and restoration from 1980 onwards.

In addition, Plantation Garden will be selling a range of exotic and herbaceous plants for visitors to take home and enjoy in their own gardens.

Accessibility details

There is no parking at Plantation Garden but there is paid for by phone app parking at the hotel adjacent to the garden on Earlham Road. Payment is by RingGo and it is advisable to download the RingGo app to your mobile before coming to the Garden. Please note: the entry pathway into Plantation Garden is steep. The Garden is a no smoking area, and only assistance dogs are permitted.
