Join us for unforgettable stories from history, in the wildlife haven of the Grounds at Poltimore House.

Delving into 400 years of local history, mystery and surprises that bring the story of Poltimore House to life, award-winning children's author Claire Barker will be bringing her amazing storytelling magic to tell the tale in our beautiful Grounds. Claire has been our Resident Storyteller this summer and we're delighted she will be coming to tell The Tale of Poltimore House on Saturday 19th September. This is a story for all ages, bringing our local history to life like never before!

Poet Louisa Adjoa Parker will be exploring stories from the past to imagine where the future might lead us. And we'll be launching our new illustrated map to guide you through the history you can still see at Poltimore House.

Everyone is welcome. All our activities are family friendly and FREE!
Parking is free, we have cycle racks and dogs are welcome on leads

Branches Café and Farm Shop is open all weekend, serving delicious locally-sourced food with the help of our fantastic volunteers. All profits support the work of Poltimore House Trust, helping to raise matched funds for the next stage of our reimagining.
