Pop-Up Museum in the Courtyard at Bodmin Keep
Saturday 19th September | 10am – 3pm
Don't miss your final chance to catch Bodmin Keep’s touring pop-up museums as our summer roadshow comes home!
While our main museum remains closed, we're bringing history to life in our courtyard events tent with three compelling pop-up displays:
• Military Communications: Discover how messages were passed on the frontlines.
• Artifact Conservation: Get a behind-the-scenes look at how we preserve history right here at the Keep.
• The War in Ukraine: A powerful, temporary exhibition created in collaboration with the National Army Museum and Ukraine UK Aid.
Explore the Courtyard & Regimental Cells:
Step outside to experience our historic outdoor installations, both old and new. Step into our Anderson shelter complete with immersive soundscapes, get up close to an armoured Ferret scout car, walk through a First World War trench, and test your aim in our digital shooting range.

Visitors should note that while the main museum is still closed this event will take place in our large events tent in the courtyard at Bodmin Keep. All of site is wheelchair accessible aside from the regimental cells and First World War trench.
This event will run on the same day as our Bodmin Town Military History tour starting at 11am at the Keep. Visitors are invited to visit the Pop-up Museum and join the walking tour both of which are free for Heritage Open Days!
