Ramsey Mortuary Chapels were built in 1858 in the Gothic Revival style and comprise of two chapels, one Anglican and one Non-Conformist. Both contain contagion windows, which are the only two remaining in the country.

Grade 2 listed chapels and their unique contagion windows. The chapels were built about 1859 to architectural designs by Robert Hutchinson in the Gothic Revival style.

There are many interesting graves in the surrounding cemetery, including many war graves which are maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Also that of Jabez Papworth, known as the ‘Potato King’. He caused a sensation in 1903 by growing a crop of potatoes which, when harvested sold for £15,000. These became known as the ‘King Edward’ potato, which is the oldest variety of potato to be still grown commercially.
