A beautiful community garden in the heart of the town, linking the grade 2* listed Rectory Museum, with the Grade 1 listed All Saints Parish church. A calm, peaceful heritage corridor through the oldest part of Loughborough.

Between the Parish Church and the Old Rectory, to the rear of Fearon Hall in the centre of Loughborough, lies an area of land which is being regenerated into a wildlife garden.
The Garden was first instigated by former rector Stephen Cherry in 1998. Together with Rev. Cherry, a group of enthusiastic volunteers formed the Rectory Wildlife Gardeners. By sectioning off part of the rectory gardens, the charity established a wildlife haven to enhance biodiversity in the town centre and provide a peaceful garden for the benefit of the public.
The Garden presents an opportunity to bring the local community together, to develop friendships and understanding, and create a space in which to celebrate nature and take pride in a community project.
The charity hopes to promote community involvement in the development of the space as a wildlife sanctuary and as an outdoor facility for the peaceful enjoyment for people that live and work in the local area.
The Rectory Wildlife Gardeners charity, meanwhile, will continue to enhance the garden beyond the council’s standard provision for public spaces. The charity welcomes new members and volunteers and can be contacted by email at [email protected].
