Explore the architecture of Redditch through our extensive town archive. Investigate the construction and design of local landmarks such as the Palace Theatre, the Danilo Cinema, St. Stephen's Church and more and meet our expert volunteer archivists.

Redditch Library holds the history of Redditch in its underground, temperature-controlled archive. Our expert archivists have curated an amazing collection which showcases the incredible architecture of Redditch. Visitors can view the construction and design of landmark sites such as St. Stephen's Church, Smallwood Hospital, and others, and witness, through our extensive photo collections and design documents, the creation of Redditch as a New Town. Visitors can also take a trip down memory lane and see Old Redditch as it once was with extensive photo collections showing the streets of the town before construction of the New Town began. This is a dementia-friendly event and all are welcome.
