A photographic exhibition depicting people and events in the village of Leigh since the 1950s supporting the newly published "ReLeighable Memories" featuring the reminiscences of people who grew up in the village during that time.

After Chris Fisher and Clive Brown, two Leigh Primary School 'old boys' re-established contact after many years they began to find other former schoolfriends, all but one of whom had moved away from the village. After several lunchtime gatherings the idea began to form of collecting memories of growing up in the 1950s in a village that had seen its housing stock hugely increased by the post-war council house building programme. Those memories have now been committed to print with the generous help of a loan from Leigh Parish Council and the book titled 'ReLeighable Memories' will be launched in summer supported by a photographic exhibition depicting the era by Keith Harding who is another one of the aforementioned 'old boys'. The venue for this event is the charming Leigh Village Hall formerly known as Abbotts Pass Hall where the Hall Trustees will display the rarely seen 1940s hand-painted stage advertising curtain, a real treasure.
