Ripon Library

Ripon has a long and varied military history. The well-established camps of Ripon played a huge part in training soldiers for most of the major battles and operations of WW2. Using photographs, oral history reminiscence, and various artefacts this exhibition by Ripon Military Heritage Trust will explore Ripon's Home Front, the Ripon residents war service, and the Royal Engineers School Of Military Engineering who moved to Ripon in 1939.
Ripon Military Heritage Trust was established to research and preserve Ripon's military heritage. Members of Ripon Military Heritage Trust will be present at the library on various days throughout the duration of the exhibition. You will be able to find out more about their campaign to save the huts at the former Deverell Barracks, and their oral history project capturing memories of military activity in Ripon.

The library is on the first floor and is accessible by stairs or lift. The library has no designated car parking spaces but there is a public pay-and-display car park directly outside the building.
