Come and find out how this wonderful park and museum developed over the years from being a vast open woodland to becoming the home of one of the most famous industrialists in the world, before Rotherham Council purchased it for the people of Rotherham and transformed it into the gem it is today! Look back in history with your tour guide and visualise how this park was the centre of recreation for the wealthy and working class of industrial Rotherham in the late 1800's and early 20th century and find out about the part it played in both world wars. Visit the walled garden with its grade 2 listed sundial and visit the museum that was once the home of the wealthy industrialists of the 1800s.

Pay and display parking on site at the museum however parking can be limited during busy periods Drummond street car park is a 10 minute walk away and has free parking at the weekend : post code S65 1EZ

Additional information

The tour will start in the park at the Roman Ruins behind the Museum and take a leisurely 2k stroll around the park itself ending in the museum.. Appropriate footwear should be worn due to uneven paths in places.
