Rugby Theatre
Central Hall, Henry Street, Rugby, Warwickshire, CV21 2QA
Visiting Rugby Theatre, for most people, is as an audience member, however these tours will offer the opportunity to see all of our backstage areas within the theatre building as well as across the road in Central Hall; where you will get to see where we design and build sets, store our props and costumes, as well as visit our newly-refurbished bar. Tours will take place hourly, last around 1 hour and there are 8 places per tour. Our theatre volunteer members will be on-site to discuss all aspects of our theatre - from auditions to performances and the design of sets through to finished product, ready for a show to go live! And possibly meet the cast of our next production, and take part in some acting workshops.
With an active core of around 200 members, our amateur theatre is run by and relies heavily on volunteers; and on bringing new members in to keep the theatre alive. In December 2024 we celebrated our 75th Anniversary and in order for us to still be here in another 75 years we need to attract more newcomers from the local community! Hopefully this event will give us the opportunity to do so.
Hope you can join us!
