A talk about the history and refurbishment of the Russell-Cotes Museum and Art Gallery's Conservatory

Join the team who worked on the restoration of the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum’s Conservatory to find out about its history and refurbishment. Built originally in 1901, this beautiful structure with its breathtaking views and exposed location had become increasingly dilapidated and has been in need of restoration for many years. Thanks to funding from Arts Council England MEND fund, local fundraising efforts and support from BCP Council, the conservatory is being conserved. Join museum staff and the historic building conservation consultants, Philip Hughes Associates, to discover the story. This talk will be held in the conservatory itself. The space is not heated so be prepared for hot or cold depending on the weather.
