Sandy Mosaic Heritage Trail
13 Market Square, Sandy, Bedfordshire, SG19 1HU
Each colourful mosaic was beautifully designed by artist Oliver Budd to reflect Sandy's history. It was created in workshops by community groups, local residents and school children to tell the story of Sandy from Roman times to the present day thus creating a legacy for future generations. Your guide Richard Barlow from the Sandy Historical Research Group will bring each mosaic to life by revealing the history behind each mosaic. You will be warmly welcomed by the Wellbeing Walkers who meet at 1000 outside the Post Office (SG19 1HU) in the Market Square next to the grandstand. Free parking is available in the public car park (SG19 1AG) situated off the High Street. Public toilets are located in the car park. Do join us at 1000 on Wednesday 17 September. The event will end at Sandy Library also located in the Market Square.
