Saturday Art Club at St Peter Parmentergate

Join Norwich Making Space's Saturday Art Club for a special free Heritage Open Days workshop at St Peter Parmentergate!

Saturday Art Club at 'Pete's Park' is a regular creative session for children aged 5–11, running on selected Saturdays throughout the year. Our workshops explore a wide range of creative techniques, from traditional weaving and brass rubbing to experimental LEGO printmaking and other hands-on processes. For Heritage Open Days, we're opening the doors and offering a free session inspired by the unique history and character of St Peter Parmentergate.

Explore this beautiful medieval church and discover its new life as Pete's Park, a community skatepark operated by Community East. Participants will be encouraged to investigate the building's historic features, uncover stories about its changing role within the city, and respond creatively through hands-on art-making inspired by both its past and present.

Whether you're a regular attendee of Saturday Art Club or visiting for the first time, this relaxed session offers an opportunity to explore, create and connect with one of Norwich's most unusual community spaces.

Directions:

Saturday Art Club takes place in the cosy back room of St Peter Parmentergate. To access the space directly (and avoid walking through the skatepark), you can use the small staircase on the right as you walk up the path from King St.
