Scarecrow Weddings

Weddings are wonderful family events for all of us, and are extra special when held in a Church. Scarecrows want to get married in church too - so why not alongside their human counterparts. Local schools, Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and parishioners will be making the scarecrows.
Come and see them in their wedding finery. We also have a photo display of some of the people who have been married at St Albans over the years. Speak to our Vicar about having your wedding in church.
There will be a display of old documents relating to the church. A timeline of our clergy, information about the men in our Roll of Honour, plus photos of past events at St Albans. The church has been a special place for many people since being built in 1897, we may not have a tower but we have lovely architecture, a stunning reredos, and a beautiful window above the Altar plus a loving heart. There will be wedding themed children's crafts, refreshments and lots of smiling faces. Come and see for yourself, don't pass up a chance to have tea and cake.

We do have parking. We do have a toilet with a raised toilet seat. Sadly at present we do not have a disabled toilet.
