Visit our Methodist Chapel and see displays of history of the village of Scotter and find out how the residents of Scotter were occupied in the past. We are lucky to have a wealth of photographs of our village with which to share with visitors.

Scotter had a steady population of around a thousand inhabitants for decades, prior to the 1950s when post war changes began to alter the village. Despite its relative small size, the village boasted an array of trades people and occupations which would have meant it was very self sufficient. Our theme for our Open Day will be looking at the people of Scotter, their occupations and daily lives.
