Visit Seaton Delaval Hall for free on 11 and 12 September to discover the world of the Gay Delavals, the family who pushed Georgian excess to the limit and who were known for their love of mischief, playfulness and theatricality.

Explore the house, admire Vanbrugh’s dramatic architecture and meet the family through their collection of portraits in the West Wing. Enjoy a stroll through the late-summer gardens or join one of our drop-in potted history talks or garden tours to discover more.
You can also visit the nearby Church of Our Lady to learn about its recent project, supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

All-terrain mobility scooters and manual wheelchairs are available free of charge and must be booked in advance. A Stairmate Major stairclimber can provide wheelchair access to the Entrance Hall and must be booked at least 48 hours before your visit, subject to wheelchair compatibility and the availability of a trained operator. Please note that the Saloon, Central Hall and upper floors of the West Wing otherwise have stepped access only.
