Step inside one of Sheffield’s most iconic civic buildings and discover the stories, treasures and hidden spaces of Sheffield Town Hall.

As part of Heritage Open Days, this free family-friendly event will place a special focus on welcoming families, with activities designed to engage children and young people while exploring the building’s rich heritage. Visitors can create their own ‘Mini Mayor’, discover hidden Town Hall treasures, delve into family history records from Sheffield’s past and follow a heritage trail revealing the secrets of the building. A pop-up café will also be available throughout the day.

The event also offers an opportunity to learn more about the Town Hall Refurbishment project, which aims to secure the long-term future of this historic landmark for generations to come. Young people are especially encouraged to take part, helping to shape the future of a building that will continue to serve Sheffield’s communities for many years ahead.
