Snape's Printworks

9-11 Boltons Court, Preston, Lancashire, PR1 3TY

  • Multiple dates available
  • In person
  • Pre-booking required

Explore this former printworks which closed last year after over 150 years in business. It's now being developed as a creative hub, while retaining its atmospheric heritage and architecture.

Thomas Snape set up as a letterpress printer in the mid-Victorian period and gradually expanded his business into new and old buildings between Turk's Head Yard and Boltons Court - part of Preston's early burgage plots.

These industrial buildings are treasure trove of printing and Victorian workshop history - with layers of heritage accumulated over the life of the business.

Visitors will be able to discover this fascinating building on a tour.
