Some Key Dereham Buildings
Church Street, Dereham, Norfolk, NR19 1DN
This event is a 2 hour (approximately) walk, largely within the built up area of the town. It will take in buildings of architectural note, including St Nicholas’ Church, Bishop Bonner’s Cottage Museum, the Guildhall, Dereham Memorial Hall, Dereham Railway Station, the Maltings, Assembly Rooms and Corn Hall, some of which are also open as part of Heritage Open Days.
Joining the walk will be a member of the Dereham Heritage Trust, providing historical information about what we can see as we walk.
As a bonus, the walk will pass a number of other sites in the town which are open for HODs, so participants can get a flavour of what else they can do while in Dereham.
