St Andrew's United Reformed Church, Montpellier Street, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL50 1SP
In 1896 Edward Wilson visited St Andrew's new 'Lecture Hall' to hear George Baden-Powell talk about his own Arctic expedition and that of his explorer friend, Norwegian Fridtjoj Nansen. Five years later Wilson was in Antarctica on Discovery - a ship Robert Baden-Powell eventually acquired for the Sea Scouts. Anne talks about these and other related connections involving St Andrew's.
