St Andrew's Church - The Abana Bell

St Andrew's Church, Rossall Road, Cleveleys, Lancashire, FY5 1DX

  • Multiple dates available
  • In person
  • Pre-booking not required

Uncover the story of the Abana bell and its journey from Canada to Cleveleys. 130 years after the Abana, a sailing barque, was shipwrecked off the Fylde coast, see the bell itself and hear its story at St. Andrew’s Church, Cleveleys.

There will be a short talk, repeated on the hour with plenty of time to explore our beautiful Edwardian church building.

Children’s activities will be available and there is the opportunity to ring the bell – touching a piece of history! There will be the opportunity to make a clay bell to take away and a colouring sheet or wordsearch to enjoy. If there are two children or more in a group, there will be a fun rescue activity to take part in.
