St Columba’s United Reformed Church

St. Columba's was founded as a chaplaincy to Presbyterian students by the Presbyterian Church of England, the Free Church of Scotland and the Church of Scotland working together. The building was designed by T. P. Figgis, and dates to 1915. There is stained glass in the chancel by Theodora Salusbury. The modern extension to the front replaced a courtyard, and includes stained glass by renowned local artist Vital Peeters (1960-2023). St. Columba's became a congregation of the Presbyterian Church of England in 1929, and in common with most of that denomination, joined the United Reformed Church in 1972.
