This year’s festival will unfold as a week‑long celebration, beginning with St Eanswythe’s Fair and continuing with a rich programme of services, guided walks, heritage tours, and community events throughout the week.

For the first time, this year’s festival will unfold as a week‑long celebration, beginning with St Eanswythe’s Fair and continuing with a rich programme of, guided walks, heritage tours, and community events throughout the week.

St Eanswythe’s Fair will open the festival and capture the colour and vibrancy of a medieval celebration in honour of our patron saint. Throughout the day, you can enjoy:
- Feasting in our refreshments area
- Music and art from local artists
- Workshops and talks led by our ministers and local historians
- A market of locally handmade goods
- A Dog Show, please see our social media for entry details
- Family‑friendly activities suitable for all ages
You may even encounter Lady Isabella de Clare, ready to share stories of medieval pilgrimage or the life of St Eanswythe herself. All activities at the Fair are free and take place throughout the day, with no booking required.

The festival will include a Festival Eucharist in the morning and Choral Evensong in the evening of Sunday 13th September, commemorating St Eanswythe, whose feast day falls on 12th September.

Across the week, a variety of guided walks and heritage tours will explore the story of St Eanswythe, the history of Folkestone, and the life of the church community. For more information on the walks please see the separate event listings, all of which form part of the festival. Pre‑booking is required for these guided events via the website provided.
