Celebrating 100 Years of St Francis Church, Bournville (1925–2025)

Join us for a special day marking the centenary of St Francis Church, a treasured part of Bournville’s heritage.

A beautifully illustrated commemorative book, rich with memories and nostalgia, will be available to mark this milestone. As part of the celebrations, a brand-new stained-glass window will be unveiled.

Highlights of the day include a stunning chocolate model of the church, crafted by Cadbury chocolatiers, and a live steam floor-level railway layout showcasing a miniature Bournville Village.

Don't miss the major Acquisitions and Secrets Exhibition, featuring rare archival images and revealing untold stories about the church's past—its benefactors, architects, designers, artisans, and the creative vision behind its legacy.

Other attractions include:
• A vintage car display
• A decade-by-decade collection of wedding photographs
• Reflections from Bournville’s youth on life in the village
• Results from the BVT/Mondelez Bournville Future Heritage Project, a community-wide survey exploring Bournville’s evolving identity
