St Giles Church, Norwich

St Giles church., 75 Upper St Giles Street, Norwich, Norfolk, NR2 1AB

  • Multiple dates available
  • In person

With a 15th century brass lectern and the tallest church tower in Norwich, this striking medieval building is not to be missed. With limited opening times, St Giles can be a bit elusive so take the opportunity while you can.

This medieval parish church is still used for regular worship. It boasts a fine hammer-beam roof with carved angels bearing the shields of England and France, 5 Mayoral mace stands and a rare Queen Anne Coat of Arms above the South porch. There is a large churchyard with flower beds and mature trees, popular with local residents. In May the Wisteria hedge is a much loved Norwich landmark.
