St Giles incorporates the site of C12th chapel of St Mary de Foro -St Mary in the Market Place. The current St Giles Church has undergone many changes to the building, its C14th arches with its quatrefoil pillars being the oldest remaining part of the church. St Giles has many interesting areas, spanning the centuries and guides will be available to show visitors around. (10:00-13:30)
Visit the bell ringing chamber (13:00-16:00); which is rarely open to the public; to learn about the history of the tower and hear the wonderful ring of the ten bells. The bell ringers will be available to tell you about the ancient art of bell ringing. (the bell chamber is not accessible).
The café, within St Giles, will be open during the morning.

The bell ringing chamber is only accessible via narrow, spiral stone steps. All minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The ground floor main body of the church has full wheelchair access.
The visitors to bell ringing chamber will be in controlled numbers, due to its accessibility and size of the chamber.
