You’ll then be taken into our strongroom, where we’ll show you how the collections are stored and cared for, alongside a selection of original archive material from across the borough.
Tours will last approximately one hour and places are limited to 10 people per session, so please book in advance.
The tour will begin on the first-floor mezzanine located within The World of Glass, by the public computers. Please meet your tour guide here at your allotted time.
World of Glass, Chalon Way East, St. Helens, Merseyside, WA10 1BX
The World of Glass has step-free access, lifts and accessible toilets. Please note that part of the tour takes place in the archive strongroom, where some aisles and spaces are quite narrow and may be more difficult to navigate with larger wheelchairs or mobility aids. The strongroom is also kept cooler than other areas of the building to help preserve the collections, so visitors may wish to bring an extra layer. If you have any access requirements or would like to discuss the tour in advance, please contact us on [email protected] and we will be happy to help.
