St Ives Masonic Hall
St Ives Masonic Hall, Wellington Street, St Ives, Cambridgeshire, PE27 5AZ
Our building is not large and is over 300 years old. It is used by five Masonic Lodges, of which the main Lodges are St. Ivo founded in 1897 and Sothius founded in 1977. Its previous uses include a Primitive Methodist Chapel and warehouse. The main Meeting Room contains Lodge furniture, regalia, banners etc. The other main room is used for dining and has several boards showing the names of principal members over the years - many reflective of St Ives.
We are a charitable organisation that gives to charities nationally, internationally and locally. We endeavour to give aid when disasters occur by giving monies to organisations such as the Red Cross. We continue to support the people in Ukraine. We have given a large donation to Maggie's Centre at Addenbrooke's. Maggie's Centres provide support to people who have cancer, the individual and their family. Thousands of Teddy Bears have been given to hospitals throughout the country for children who have to go into hospital for treatment. We also have a scheme to help the homeless and those who sleep rough on the streets.
