Open day for all ages with refreshments, inflatables, barbecue, and exhibition of historical information about Sir Thomas Smythe (1558-1625) who is buried at St John's.

St John's Sutton-at-Hone will be open 11am-2pm for visitors to explore the church and grounds which are set in the countryside just south of Dartford. There will be a barbecue and refreshments available to purchase, along with games and inflatables for children and an exhibition of information compiled for the first time to capture the life and legacy of Sir Thomas Smythe (1558-1625), one of the most significant individuals in England's burgeoning global trade networks during the late-Elizabethan and Stuart years.

Directions:
St John's is situated up Church Road heading out of the village of Sutton-at-Hone. There is a car park opposite the church, and it's possible to park road-side on Church Road too.
