Explore the medieval architecture of this amazing building known as 'The Cathedral of the Peak' An exhibition of photographs portraying the working life of people in the Parish of Tideswell throughout the ages.

Explore and discover some of the 'hidden-gems' of this amazing full of surprises building. The church was constructed between approximately 1320 and 1400 on the site of a pre-dating Norman church. In common with the time, the building work was delayed by the Black Death.

The exhibition will be displayed in the 14th century parish church of St John the Baptist , also known as ‘The Cathedral of the Peak’. The building is a very fine example of the period, and classed as one of the 300 important parish churches in the country.

NB: Stewards will be available on the days with information.

Directions:
Although Tideswell village has the biggest population within the Peak National Park, is still quite small and it is virtually impossible to miss St Johns itself due to the scale of the building.
