Our Planet. Our Voices. Our future. An eco-art exhibition showcasing our local community's creativity, to inspire environmental action.

Members of the church and local community have been invited to produce artwork which shows something of their care and concern for the environment, or which celebrates something in the natural world. Contributing artists have been encouraged to use sustainable or recycled materials to make their pieces and to provide a short-written explanation of what they have produced and why. The pieces will be displayed around the church during the weekend of 19/20 September.

Information will also be available about different way of caring for the environment, to encourage people to think about ways they can live more sustainably.
There will also be information about the church’s commitment to becoming ‘greener’ through engagement with the Eco Church scheme.

You can also explore St Mary’s Church; a Grade 1 listed building with architectural features from many centuries including a Norman archway, medieval tomb and 19th century-stained glass windows.
See if you can find the medieval graffiti and the stonemason marks.

Take a self-guided tour of the Commonwealth War Graves memorials to local fallen servicemen.

The church is a member of the Quiet Garden Movement, so why not sit and reflect in our quiet spaces

Refreshments will be served on both days.
