St Mary's Woodhorn is one of Northumberland's great historic gems. A grade one listed building, for 1000 years the centre of community life. Now it stands empty, even unsafe to enter, but you can be part of its revival. Come along and find out how.

Friends of Woodhorn Church (FOWC) have very recently entered into a protocol with Northumberland County Council the owners of St Mary's Woodhorn - to work together towards a new lease and the redevelopment of the church for community use.
This is an incredibly exciting time and we are using Heritage Open Days across the weekends of September 12th-13th and 19th-20th to hold a Market Place and Historic Story Telling in the Picnic Ground next to the Church.
The aim is to raise public confidence that something good is happening at St Mary's and to encourage many more committed and enthusiastic folk to join in.
