St Michael-in-the- Hamlet (The Cast Iron) Church
St Michael-in-the-Hamlet Church, St Michael's Church Road, Liverpool, Merseyside, L17 7BD
The building was one of four cast iron churches originally built in Liverpool. Two remain, St George's in Everton and St Michael's in Aigburth. St George's being completed in 1814 and St Michael's in 1815. Both are Georgian buildings. During a major restoration 40 years after construction our magnificent east window was installed. The church cost £7,500 to build and the window cost £3000.
