St Michael’s & All Angels is an historic ruin at the centre of the modern suburb of Bowthorpe. Recently restored with National Lottery funds it is now open to the public as an historic amenity.

At the centre of the Domesday recorded village of Bowthorpe St Michael’s and All Angels Ruin has survived since the 14th century. It is now located at the heart of the modern Norwich suburb of Bowthorpe. Recently stabilised and renovated with National Lottery funds it is open for the community to enjoy this historic building. It resides close to Bowthorpe Hall itself an 18th century building and on the route of a Roman Road that led to Caister St.Edmund.
The site will be holding a celebration event on the 12th September which will feature the launch of the new activity trail.
Musicians will perform traditional folk songs and a Ceilidh will take place.
The site will be open from 10.00 am and into the evening on which will be a day of celebration for the renovation of this historic
building.
